Greetings all – well Jack didn’t make it , and a number of others couldn’t attend for various reasons, but I have to tell you they missed out on a very interesting evening.
Even with numbers down we had 4 Shortcuts – “Cows” - June made sure you knew what cows looked like, John Bishop gave us a drone view of moving cattle, I listed a few facts about cows, and Helmut and Barbara couldn’t resist all the puns involving cows. We even listed the 16 possibilities for next meeting – the random choice was “Keep the T’s Going”. Thanks to Helmut who assisted with projection, and to all those who helped in setting up, supper, and leaving everything in order. Lloyd also showed a short movie he’d made at Norman’s U3A course – a ghostly librarian. Congratulations to Lloyd and Norman – the 8 week course had turned out a number of fine efforts. Then Geoff Ross showed excellent videos by Abraham Joffe, Darren Jew and Richard I’Anson – wildlife , travel, underwater and drone – Geoff has travelled with these people, and was able to give us insights as to the equipment they used, and the time and patience they needed to get the results shown. Look them up on Google to see some examples. Best regards, Ron Fry Secretary
